I wasn't sure whether to post this under IP or telecoms, sit is has a substantial relevance to both.
Although just "breaking news" at the moment, it appears that BT and TalkTalk have lost their appeal against the Digital Economy Act 2010, having argued that it was incompatible with a number of provisions of EU law.
It doesn't surprise me, as I was not convinced by the strength of BT's arguments (or, at least, what I'd heard of them (some more detail here)), but I am still wholly unconvinced by the Act.
